Darrin Hicks brings 11 years of collegiate coaching experience to Delta State University. He will serve as Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks coach at DSU.

The Weirton, W.V., native comes to DSU after serving as offensive coordinator at the United States Merchant Marine Academy (2005).

Prior to his time at USMMA, Hicks served one season as head coach at Si Tanka University (2004) in Huron, S.D., and one season as an assistant coach at Texas State University (2003). In 2002, he served as defensive coordinator at Washington and Jefferson College, and from 1999-2001 served as an assistant coach at Cal Lutheran University.

Hicks began his collegiate coaching career at Emporia StateUniversity in 1996 as a graduate assistant. After receiving his degree, he served two seasons as wide receivers coach at the Emporia, Kansas school.

Hicks is a 1996 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College with a degree in Business Administration. He is married to the former Jennifer Wilson of Columbus, Ohio.
