In July of 2003, Athletic Director Dr. Brad Teague named Jim Allen as the first Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach at Delta State University.

Coach Allen comes to DSU from Greenville-Weston High where he coached the varsity boy’s squad. He is currently the Coaching Director for the Greenville Soccer Association and is the founder of the first traveling select soccer program in Greenville called the Greenville Futbol Club. In addition, Allen is actively involved with the Mississippi Olympic Development Program.

In 2001, Allen was named the MYSA Coach of the Year, Region 3 Coach of the Year, and one of 4 finalists for Adidas Coach of the Year. Allen currently holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and a NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma (Level III).

Allen is a graduate of Delta State University, receiving his BS degree in Business Administration in 2002.
