Truman State claims women's title; Missouri-Rolla holds off Ouachita Baptist for men's crown
CLEVELAND - The New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships concluded Saturday with Truman State edging Delta State for the women's title, and Missouri-Rolla holding off Ouachita Baptist for the men's crown.
"This was easily the best championships the league has ever had," said DSU Director of Aquatics Ronnie Mayers.

Records fall in day three of NSISC Championships at DSU Aquatics Center
CLEVELAND - With only one day remaining at the NSISC Championships, the women's competition is rolling along with defending champion Truman State and Delta State battling for the title. TSU currently holds a 1337-1210 lead over the Lady Statesmen. On the men's side, Missouri-Rolla holds a slim lead over Ouachita Baptist University 1149-1084.
Several individual events led to new NSISC records on Friday. A complete list of scores and results are listed below.
Competition begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday with prelims followed by the last night of finals at 5 p.m.

Truman grabs lead in women's competition on Thursday; OBU remains first on the men's side
CLEVELAND- Day two of the NSISC featured fantastic swimming and even faster times as the short distance relays and IM’s highlighted the meet. However, the day didn’t fare well for the Delta State squads as the Lady Statesmen fell into second place in the overall standings while the Statesmen dropped to fifth.
The Lady Statesmen dropped one spot to second with 643 points, while Truman State climbs into the top spot with 782. Ouachita Baptist (455), Henderson State (414), and University of Incarnate Word (302) rounds out the top five.
The Statesmen remained in the bottom half of scoring despite gaining some ground with 387 points on the evening. OBU remains first with 648, while Missouri-Rolla (620), Truman State (501) and Henderson State complete the top five.
Friday's events are set to begin at 10:00 a.m. with prelims followed by finals at 6:00 p.m.

NSISC Championships underway
CLEVELAND - Day one of the 18th annual New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships is in the books, and it didn't take long for the competition to heat up at the DSU Aquatics Center.
In the women's competition, Delta State and Truman State are neck-and-neck for the title. The Lady Statesmen edged the Bulldogs 192-191 for the lead. Henderson State is third with 148 followed by Ouachita Baptist (110), Incarnate Word (93) and Drury University (23).
In the men's competition, Ouachita Baptist holds a three point lead over the University of Missouri-Rolla 196-193. Truman State was third with 132 points follwoed by Delta State (100) and Henderson State (94).
Day two's events will begin Thursday at 10 a.m. with prelims follwoed by finals at 6 p.m.

Delta State Athletics to feature real-time results at 2007 NSISC Championships
CLEVELAND - Delta State University Athletics announced Thursday that the upcoming New South Intercollegiate Swim Conference Championships will feature real-time results on the internet.
"We are extremely excited about the opportunity to provide our fans and competitors real-time results on the internet," said DSU head coach Brian Hein. "As soon as an event ends, the programs updates the web. We're one of the few schools in the country offering this service."
